  Not a very welcoming place. The people that eat there for the daily lunch are only good to you if you've been going there for a long time. You have to get there quite early just to get a spot because if you come a bit late and are trying to get a spot, people will stop you by putting their foot on chairs as you approach a table or just downright look at you funny before telling you that the spot is taken. The people that work there are the same way as the patrons. They will put up a front and only be nice when they have to be. But that's the culture of this town.
  
  You're also not allowed to use your phones while at this place because you're expected to deal with who's present.
  
  The only saving grace with this place is the annual Thanksgiving meal when volunteers that don't normally come there to help with the big meal. This is the only time of year where you can be an outsider and be treated half decently.
  
  Anyone can post a bulletin of how something is open to everyone, but that bulletin is nothing but false advertisement when it only applies to those that have been going for years.
  
  My advice, steer clear of this place if you're new to town or new to the lunches.

  The Janesville Salvation Army is wonderful. The volunteers are nice. It's very easy to get food from Salvation Army, compared to other food banks that requires lots of paperwork.
